The Northside Tomorrow’s Neighborhoods Today (TNT) Planning Council and the Syracuse Public Art Commission seek to commission a sculpture to be located at one of two potential locations within the historic Northside neighborhood of Syracuse, NY. The total project budget is $6,000 for design, fabrication and installation. The piece will become part of the City of Syracuse’s permanent art collection.

Do you have old and damaged sweaters that you’ve been anxious to remake?  Here is your chance to experiment with like-minded curious creators-

C2 has some sweaters to share, thread, needles, pins and yellow yarn.  Yes, brightly cheap yellow
yarn that it is good for something I can just feel it!   Also a creative sweater remake book called
“Sweater Chop Shop” which is bound to inspire those creative juices.

If you bring your own sweaters to use the fee is discounted to $5.

psst… model’s outfit in photo is made up of recycled sweaters:  skirt was a body, legwarmers (not shown) were arms, ear warmer was a turtleneck, flower on ear warmer was a sleeve, bolero sweater was a full sweater, twisted bracelet was part of a sweater and the neck wrap was a body of a sweater.  Fun, chic and delightfully over-the-top.
